Mixed Fruit Chutney/Jam

mixed fruit chutney I am fond of fruit jam since childhood. Never ever did I imagine that I would be making jams one day. Well, I had to, since we are no longer buying any ready-to-eat food items. It's been more than 5 years since I tasted jam. Surprised? Do not be! I am not a foodie and thus not crazy about things (except cookies). Since we are not buying anything from groceries or confectioneries, I am trying my hands at anything and everything that comes my way. I am glad I am coming up with surprising results - yes, surprising for my own self. Nobody in my home, except hubby, knows what all I am doing in my kitchen, because I am not known to be passionate about food among my loved ones. Well, that's another story. But I wanna try my hands at everything. oopssss....too much of self-talk again. Let's come back to the new mixed fruit jam recipe. SO the uncle for whom I baked my suji-mango cake that day did not want to return my dish empty, and knowing

Eggless Whole Wheat Oatmeal Cookies/Jeera Biscuits (No Maida)

jeera biscuits Healthy cookies are my weakness. What about you? I am a cookie lover. But I love biscuits as well. Now you must be wondering whether there is any difference between both. Well, to me cookies are the goodies we get in bakeries - these are little heavier than biscuits, which are light and flaky. After having tried my hands at different combinations to make homemade whole wheat cookies , I have been curious enough to look for a biscuit recipe. Today, I was experimenting with homemade wheat-oatmeal for pizza base. I used little dough for pizza and thought of keeping the remaining dough overnight to bake a bread the next day. But God had different plans. The pizza base I was able to bake was crunchy and of course, healthy. So I decided to try baking healthy oatmeal cookies no sugar puffs with the remaining dough. Sorry I was not able to click the pizza. But I do have a no maida, yeast free pizza recipe. Do give it a try. whole wheat oatmeal cookies without

leftover rice tikkis I have made leftover rice cutlets earlier. Made these today especially for a neighbor next door, who was celebrating his 75th birthday. You can't get happier than this - bringing smiles on other's faces. Can you? Not at least in my case. As I am not a foodie, I never cook for myself (except cookies). I cook to get a first-hand experience of healthy recipes. My mission is to find a balance between health & food. I try to include healthy ingredients in my recipes, so everyone can enjoy healthy recipes. This is why I opened the group "Healthy Recipes by Homemakers" in Facebook, where talented homemakers from across the world share healthy recipes. This group is an open invitation to anybody willing to share or learn everything about healthy eating. The boy remains with his pensioner dad, as his mother left for heavenly ab

No Cream No Sugar Mango Oats Kulfi

mango oats kulfi After my friend Ritu had tried the mango oats ice cream , I thought of giving it a try. I wonder if anybody, except Ritu, would think of such combination.
