Meri nani pakistani punjab se aye thi or wo aise he shimla mirch banati thi..pehle garam mustard oil mei jeera, hin, ginger garlic paste dal ke bhuno..fir onion fry karo thoda. then add sliced potatoes..thoda buno.. fir tomato puree,,.salt, haldi, kashmiri mirch, kali mirch, water dal kar cook karo..then jab half cook ho jaye aloo, add shimla mirch, cover and cook..lo ji ho gaye tyar sadi punjabi recipe.
Nani's Shimla Mirch (Bell Pepper) Curry
**Ingredients:**
* Mustard oil
* Cumin seeds
* Asafoetida (hing)
* Ginger-garlic paste
* Onion
* Potatoes, sliced
* Tomato puree
* Salt
* Turmeric powder
* Kashmiri red chili powder
* Black pepper powder
* Water
* Bell peppers, sliced
**Instructions:**
1. Heat mustard oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until fragrant.
3. Add sliced onions and fry until golden brown.
4. Add sliced potatoes and cook for a few minutes.
5. Add tomato puree, salt, turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, black pepper powder, and water.
6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are half cooked.
7. Add sliced bell peppers, cover, and cook until the vegetables are tender.
**Serve hot with roti or paratha.**
