Ingredients
1/2 cup- urad dal powder (black lentils)
2 cups- semolina/rava/suji
2 pinches of roasted fenugreek powder (methi dana powder - optional)

Procedure

  1. Mix the ingredients and soak in as much water as required to reach an idli batter-like consistency.
  2. Leave the batter overnight or for 5-6 hours.
  3. The batter would ferment automatically, just like idli and dosa. If you want, you may make idlis or dosa with it. Or let it ferment further to bake yeast-free focaccia.(just as I did a few days back).

Ingredients for topping
2 onions
1 tomato
1 capsicum
coriander powder
salt
2 tbsp -hung curd
Tomato sauce optional (I added homemade spicy tomato methi chutney)
Any other topping ingredients- corn, black chana, or whatever you want to
1 tsp olive oil (or any other vegetable oil)
dried mint leaves (optional)

Procedure
  1. Mix the batter with salt and pour into a greased baking pan or a nonstick pan.
  2. Prepare toppings - thinly slice onions, tomato, and capsicum  and add these to the hung curd. Add little salt. Mix with olive oil and tomato chutney/sauce. Or you may not use any sauce at all - depends on your taste buds. The options are unlimited when it comes to topping the pizza base. Choose toppings of your choice.
  3. Pour this mixture evenly over the idli type batter in the nonstick pan.
  4. You may choose to bake it in a microwave oven or on a stove top.
  5. I baked it in a nonstick pan on stovetop.
  6. Place a skillet or tawa on the burner.
  7. Above the tawa, place the nonstick pan.
  8. Cover & cook on a medium flame for 10 minutes or longer.
  9. Sprinkle dried mint leaves.
  10. Just keep an eye at the bottom of the pizza.
  11. Do not let it brown too much.
  12. Turn off the flame when you feel the pizza top is ready.
  13. Enjoy!
