Making Atta Cookies in Air Fryer Without Oven is A Child's Play (Easy Healthy Homemade Gur Biscuits No Baking Powder/Soda)

imagine making cookies at home, that too, with only 3 ingredients. hanji hanji main mazak nahi kar rahi hun. you need only 3 ingredients to make homemade atta cookies without oven. in fact, you can bake cookies in air fryer or without it too. the easy atta cookies recipe uses homemade butter and gur or jaggery powder.

the first question is homemade butter better ?
yes, I say homemade cultured or fermented butter is way healthier and yummier than the store-bought stuff. you get a lot of additives along with the so-called butter in the market. but homemade is purely butter that too fermented. ravneet bhalla loves to make things from scratch. the recipe of making cultured butter is also up on the channel.

ingredients

atta cookies ingredients
1 cup minus 1 tbsp (140 grams) whole wheat flour (please adjust according to dough- aim for a soft dough)
1/4 cup butter homemade (cultured) 42 gram
1/2 cup jaggery powder (62 grams)

begin the cookie preparation by creaming together sifted jaggery powder and refrigerated butter. i have shared a detailed video on cookie basics for beginners, please do check to learn how to bake biscuits without chemicals.
the creamed jaggery and butter mix will look pale and creamy of course. it will have stiff peaks too. that's absolutely perfect.
sift whole wheat atta and bring together into dough.
please do not knead cookie dough. this is not a chapati. but a cookie recipe. kneading is not allowed, nor recommended!!!
bring together the cookie dough into a log and pack in a baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 mts.
cut into desired shapes and refrigerate again. since it's extremely hot my side, I refrigeration of cookie dough will help retain the shapes. else cookies might spread out while baking. meanwhile preheat airfryer to 160 deg c for 5 min
if you want to bake in kadahi or cooker without oven, please use a thick bottomed vessel to prevent the risk of burning cookies. preheat the utensil for 10 min.
bake atta butter biscuits without baking powder or soda for 10-12 min or little longer at 160 deg c. check if done, else bake for 2 min more. bake cookies in kadahi for 10-12 min or longer on a low flame. check if done. they tend to burn from bottom, so you can flip sides and bake for 2 min more. allow butter cookies to cool down before storing them in an airtight container. they are crispy butter bites made without refined sugar. you will love the flavors of these jagery cookies. ravneet bhalla needs motivation to keep coming up with healthy recipes. so please hit the like button to motivate me. take care until we meet next. cya

Can we use the soaked water for millets? Does millet need to be soaked?

Do millets contain anti-nutrients? Yes, they do. In fact, all whole grains, including oats, contain phytates, which bind to minerals and make their absorption difficult for the body. Soaking is the first step toward reducing anti-nutrients from millets. Soak for at least 6-8 hours to make digestion easier. Discard the soaked water and then proceed to the next step of cooking. Remove foam from top to reduce gassy elements from millets.  How long should millet be soaked before cooking? Soaking the millets overnight is a safe practice. Soaking breaks down the phytic acid in millets or for that matter grains and nuts. Phytic acid hinders the absorption of minerals and nutrients in food, including calcium, iron, and zinc. How? Phytates bind to minerals and nutrients and make their absorption difficult in the gut. Your tummy finds it tough to digest millets in that case. So soaking millets and draining off that soaked water makes it easier on your tummy.  Are millets safe for thyroid? Does
