Jowar benefits

Sorghum is packed with phytochemicals, which include phenols, tannins, phytosterols, anthocyanins, and policosanols.

there is a high antioxidant activity in sorghum as compared to most other cereals. These phytochemicals have a positive impact on human health.

Some studies find that sorghum flour benefits against cancer are aplenty. The consumption of sorghum reduces the risk of specific types of cancer due to the high concentration of phytochemicals.

What's more, sorghum contains tannins that are believed to reduce caloric availability. As a result, it may help prevent weight gain and obesity.

Phytochemicals play a positive role in boosting heart health.

How To Make Homemade Rusks With Jowar Flour

Whip or blend saunf and jaggery powder. Add oil and water and blend into puree.

Mix 5 tbsp of this puree with 2 tbsp of flaxmeal powder or alsi. Keep aside for 10 minutes.

Then blend all liquid ingredients together.

Remove in a bowl. Sift jowar atta along with salt, baking powder and soda.

Fold the batter. Preheat oven, airfryer, convection, otg to 160 degrees celsius for 10 minis. I always preheat airfryer for 5 minutes only.

Pour into a greased baking pan, which is also dusted with flour.

Tap 4-5 times. Bake for 40-50 minutes at 160 deg celsius.

Let the cake cool down properly in a fridge for 2 hours before slicing it. Else, there is a high risk of the sugarfree jowar cake crumbling.

Cut slices carefully.

Bake each side for 20 minutes at 140 degrees c.

Let cool down to allow vegan jowar rusks to crisp up. Enjoy crispy eggless sorghum toasts with a glass of warm milk or hot tea.
