Almonds Benefits:

  • Help manage blood glucose levels
  • Add dietary fiber and aid in digestion
  • Make a powerful snacking option
  • Are loaded with vitamins & minerals, making them a complete health food

Health benefits of almonds have been a matter of discussion for centuries, with no controversies whatsoever. Eat them raw or toasted; flakes or sliced, slivered or floured or simply turn them into almond milk or almond butter.

Believe me or not, almond butter makes a great substitute to clarified butter. I have tried an almond butter cake, without adding a single drop of oil or butter and it turned out amazingly delicious. This delicious cake was ready in 2 minutes. yes, this was a mug cake.

You might also want to try almond butter whole wheat cake.

You may also make almond butter kulfi, which is seriously healthylicious and does not use cream or sugar!  Almond butter does the magic here while honey adds subtle sweetness to this seriously addictive kulfi.

Trust me, the almond butter kulfi sans oats makes a delicious navratri recipe.

Almond Benefits

Almonds come with several health benefits. Unlike other types of nuts that are high in bad cholesterol, almonds raise good cholesterol levels. Try this health food and you will fall in love with the recipe!

According to  a study published in the American Dietetic Association Journal, almonds raise vitamin E levels in the red blood cells and plasma. The study also claims that almonds for cholesterol are really beneficial and help in lowering LDL while raising HDL levels. The nuts help improve blood lipid levels and are thus great for the heart functioning.

Another study published in the Cancer Letters claims that almonds may help reduce colon cancer risk. In fact, eat almonds regularly to boost your body's cancer'fighting properties. Of course, you cannot change your genes, but you certainly can alter the behavior of genes with the type and amount of food you eat.

Though almond benefits outnumber their side effects, if you are allergic to nuts, avoid consuming them.

instant milk badam ladoo

Ingredients for Instant Milk Badam Ladoo

1 cup measures 235 ml

1 1/4 cup- almond powder (simply grind almonds to powder to make 1/12 cups) - take 1 cup and 1/4 cup separate
1/2 cup- milk powder (you may skip to make it vegan - no substitute required)
1/4 cup- jaggery powder (more depending on your taste preferences)
1 tbsp- water

How To Make Instant Ladoo With Almonds

Mix 1 cup almond powder and milk powder in a bowl. Use a sifter or sieve to sift the flours. Remove any chunks or big pieces.
Take a 2 or 3-liter pressure cooker. This is standard for all instant recipes on this website. Please do not try these recipes without basics.
Add 1 cup water to it.
Take a wide and deep bowl that can fit in the cooker. Add jaggery powder and 1 tbsp of water to the bowl. Place this bowl inside the pressure cooker. I kept a small bowl beneath it. Cover the inner pot with foil or a dish/tray/plate so that boiling water from beneath doesn't enter the bowl and ruin your jaggery syrup.
Pressure cook for 5 whistles.
Release pressure manually.
Be careful and add the powders.
Mix gently and remove on a greased plate or foil.
Make almond balls and roll out the ladoos on the remaining 1/4 cup almond powder.
Enjoy these delectable ladoos for a power-packed snack.
Do not be surprised if kids would ask for more.

Do millets contain anti-nutrients? Yes, they do. In fact, all whole grains, including oats, contain phytates, which bind to minerals and make their absorption difficult for the body.  Soaking is the first step toward reducing anti-nutrients from millets. Soak for at least 6-8 hours to make digestion easier. Discard the soaked water and then proceed to the next step of cooking. Ever imagines how to make curd without curd (with almonds) बिना जामन के दही ? Well, I am sure such use of almonds as a curd starter is nowhere in your thoughts, right? Perhaps we are not used to thinking on these lines until it happens incidentally and you want to share your experiment with others. I am happy to say that I have experimented with making curd without starter and it gives me creamy and sweet curd. बिना जामन के दही | How to Make Curd at Home Without Curd A Little About my Curd Love Give me a bowl of rich, creamy curd and I do not need anything else on my dining table. Perhaps as a Punjabi, born and brought up into a Punjabi family, I have that special love and fondness for curd. My parents have inculcated in me good eating habits - home food is the best, they would day, preach and practice. This has become ingrained in my thoughts. I detest outside food, and yes, I dub it as market junk. One reason I love all homemade stuff - mommade food is the best. But w
