When jaggery met ghee, it turned pale. Then Almonds entered the game and combined with sorghum to win the name crispy chemical free healthy jowar cookies. No you don't need baking soda to bake healthy cookies at home without oven and butter. Making cookies at home is easy without oven. 


Jowar Cookie dough ingredients 1 cup=240ml 1 cup minus 2 tbsp- jowar atta/sorghum flour 1/2 cup- powdered almonds 1/4 cup- solid ghee 1/2 cup- jaggery powder 1 tbsp- milk

How to make cookies at home without oven



All you need to do is cream 1/4 cup of refrigerated ghee with 1/2 cup of jaggery powder until it looks pale and creamy. 
When it reaches stiff peaks, blend with 1 tbsp of milk and cream until pale. Soft 1/2 cup of powdered almonds and 1 cup minus 2 tbsp of jowar or sorghum flour . Gather the gluten free cookie dough. Do not knead.
Preheat cooker with salt for 10in at medium flame and airfryer to 160 deg c for 5 min.
Shape jowar biscuits and insert slivered almond in the center.
Bake jowar badam biscuits in cooker by placing on idli stand. Avoid baking in the lower layer of idli maker. Cover the cooker lid and bake biscuits on low flame.
Bake jowar cookies With jaggery in airfryer at 140 deg c for 12-16 min.
Check cooker biscuits if done. Mine took 15 min. Time might vary. Let cookies cool down before packing in an airtight container. Enjoy homemade healthy jowar cookies.
